Monument to Marina Tsvetayeva to Appear in Moscow

A monument to Marina Tsvetayeva will be set up near her home-museum in Borisoglebsky Lane. The unveiling of the sculpture will be timed to mark the 115th anniversary since the birth of the great poetess.

The installation of the monument is planned to be completed by November 1.

The sculpture was designed by a group of authors including sculptor Nina Matveyeva, and Honored Architects of Russia Sergei Buritsky and Alexander Dubovsky.

Their project won the contest held by the RF Ministry of Culture. The monument cast in bronze was financed by the Moscow Culture Department and some other sponsors.
